I’m all about socks. I have enough sock yarn in my stash right now to knit socks till Fall. They are small and don’t have to lay across your lap and make you over heat.
Other things that would work for summer are dishcloths, doilies, a light and airy lace weight wrap.

I’m making a lightweight tunic, a couple hats, etc… I know just what you mean about knitting and hot weather! I suggest picking up books/magazines with patterns for seasons, then you use the appropriate fibers and you wont feel so hot.
P.S., I find that eating sorbet while knitting works wonders!!! Have fun!
I may have to try that sorbet suggestion, cuz I’m working on crocheting a baby blanket for my goddaughter — probably a terrible thought in the warm weather, but I want to get it done in time for the cooler months!! Ahh, sacrifice…
I am making a wrap, with dreadful ladder yarn. this is the third time I am early it. I am making a baby surprise sweater, with nice cotton yarn, to improve my knitting “chops”, and I have restarted it once already. I am plotting to make a nice tank top for me out of a ribbon yarn, once I have finished one of the other projects. My incentive to end is that this one is for me!
I am also crocheting small flowers using crochet outfit, and fine yarns, which I attach to a headband and use as a summer necklace. persons go really quick, but, so they very nearly don’t count!
I’m knitting leg-warmers for cool weather, either winter or nippy summer nights. I have two balls of stuff similar to fun-fur and keep the project in the bat-room as an alternative to cross-word puzzles and worthless novels.
During the warm months and hot months to follow I ordinarily do filet crochet.. Since the yarn isn’t thick or hangs on your legs. I do baby blankets and such in the fall.
Bags and wrist bands… I’m working on a backpack right now and about to start wrist bands from the stitch and b!tch book. I’m not that experienced at knitting.. yet.
I don’t know yet, but most likely alot of things.
By the way, I like your username! I should have plotting of that myself!

Perfect for shopping at the community farmers’ market or taking stuff to the beach. (And it’s a quick knit!)
an afghan and I have learned why I don’t need to do this in the hot wether!!!!, but maybe it will break down me to get it done.
I belong to a community craft club so I am taking this break time to replinish my inventory. I am making kitchen bits and pieces with cotton yarn.
